Impact Jamaica is driven to inspire and empower. We are dedicated to ending poverty.

We are based in Atlanta, Georgia. Millions travel worldwide to feel the energetic vapor Jamaica release through its culture and music. It is the island of rhythm and the island of sway with an unrelenting history. Unfortunately, many of the children and adults lack some of the basic needs and safe living conditions. Our direction is to bring inspiration and innovation to as many people on the island as imaginable.

Impact Jamaica, in its embryonic stages, found itself helping those in need by way of buying families grocery, generously helping strangers and random children. Seeing a decline in hardship and hunger left an intense feeling of joy that compelled our founder to create a bigger impact. In February of 2019, Impact Jamaica Organization was birthed.

Not only is this My Passion, This is My Purpose

Our Founder

Kam

Kam, grandfather was born and raised in the parish of St. James Jamaica inspired her to help others. At the young age of 17, Kam became a teenage mother. Determined to not let this stop her, she graduated from high school a year early. Even as a child she enjoyed helping others. In her early 20s, a pivotal point was when she helped take care of her ill grandmother. She knew helping others was her calling and decided to pursue a career in nursing. In 2005, she graduated with honors from FAMU as a bachelors degree registered nurse.

Kam has worked: ICU, ER, Trauma, Orthopedics, Dialysis, Med-Surg, PACU, OR, Telemetry, Home Health, LTC, Rehab. This diversity lead her to function as a RN supervisor and lead code call nurse.

Now she brings forth her altruistic nature to the island of Jamaica.

Her motherly love expands through the youth. She has a son and a daughter, ages 25 and 28.

Two of her favorite Bible Verses are:

“Pray about everything. Worry about Nothing!” —Phillippians 4:6

“Always Pray and Never Give Up!” —Luke 18:1
